About Us

The Bureau of Emergency Medical Service is the lead agency for Utah’s EMS system. The Bureau is housed within the Utah Department of Public Safety.  To ensure constituent input, the EMS has three statutory committees, three subcommittees, and various task forces.

To promote an effective and resilient public health, trauma, and emergency health care system to respond to emergencies and disasters through professional development, preparedness, regulation, quality assurance, and partner coordination.
