Performance Improvement

The primary function of data collection and analysis is to improve patient care. The Department of Public Safety is mandated to establish and maintain a trauma system performance improvement program. Working in conjunction with local, state and regional stakeholders, the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services has established a performance improvement infrastructure based upon referral patterns that is fluid enough to meet the needs of local communities while still addressing concerns at a state level.
