EMS Instructor Renewal Course Date and Information
Overview
This course is designed for current EMS Instructors who need to renew their endorsements.
It is not intended for new instructors.

Eligibility Requirements
To renew your EMS Instructor endorsement, you must:
- Instructor Seminar Attendance: Attend a Bureau-approved instructor seminar at least once during the two-year endorsement cycle.
- Renewal Application: Submit a completed EMS Instructor Endorsement application through the Bureau.
- Pay Fees: Submit the $150 renewal fee.
Note for Expired Endorsements:
- Expired Less Than One Year: You can still renew by completing the renewal requirements and paying the fees.
- Expired More Than One Year: You must go through the initial instructor endorsement process and reapply.
Steps to Renew Your Endorsement
Be sure to both enroll and complete the application – these are separate steps!
- Enroll in the Renewal Course:
- Visit emslicense.utah.gov.
- Select “Education,” enter the course number, and register for the course.
- Complete Your Application:
- Go to the “Applications” section on the website.
- Complete the application process, pay the fees, and sign the new contract.
- Attend the Course:
- Sign in to the webinar using your own device.
- Attendance will be verified using the meeting platform’s attendance report and a QR code provided during the course. Make sure your device can scan the QR code and confirm attendance.
- A link and webinar details will be sent one week before the course date.
Verification and Approval
- Once the course is complete, and all documents and fees are verified, your endorsement will be renewed.
Important Reminders
- Separate Steps: You must complete both the application and course registration.
- Attendance: Mandatory for renewal eligibility. Each participant must use their own device for attendance verification.
- Course Link: The course link and details will be sent one week prior to the course date.
