EMS Liaisons
An EMS Liaison is a regionally assigned, state-supported emergency medical professional dedicated to strengthening emergency medical services in Utah’s counties. These liaisons serve as critical connectors between the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and local EMS providers, officials, and health departments. Residing within the communities they serve, each liaison is a licensed paramedic or advanced EMT equipped to deliver hands-on support—from providing direct patient care and staffing ambulances to offering training, technical assistance, and guidance on accessing state and federal grant funding. With specialized vehicles and equipment, they ensure that EMS agencies are not only supported but empowered to deliver high-quality, life-saving care across all of the state’s regions.
