The Initial Training Officer Course equips EMS professionals with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage training programs within their agencies.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the EMS Training Officer endorsement, you must:

  • Hold a Current Utah EMS License: Be a licensed EMS provider in Utah.
  • EMS Instructor Certification: Hold a current EMS Instructor endorsement.
  • Instruction Experience: Provide documentation of 30 hours of EMS instruction completed within the past year.

To apply for your Training Officer endorsement, you must:

  1. Register for the Course:
  2. Complete the Application:
    • Start the Training Officer application in the “Applications” section.
    • Upload all required documentation.
  3. Submit Documentation:
    • Documentation of 30 hours of EMS instruction (within the past year).
    • Proof of a current EMS Instructor endorsement.
    • Proof of successful course completion.
    • Signed Training Officer Contract, agreeing to the standards in the 2024 Training Officer Manual.
  4. Pay Fees: Submit the $75.00 endorsement fee.

Course Details

  • Format: Webinar
  • Attendance: Mandatory for endorsement eligibility.
  • Webinar Link: Participants will receive the link and instructions one week before the course date.

Endorsement Information

  • The Training Officer endorsement is valid for two years.
  • You must maintain your EMS Instructor endorsement to keep your Training Officer endorsement valid.
  • Important Reminder: Registration and course attendance do not guarantee endorsement. Approval requires completing all steps and submitting the required documentation.
